Rules

There are 60 fixed positions in the background layout, but only the illuminated dots are shown on screen.

The lighting cadence stays constant, and each beat swaps one lit dot off while one dark dot turns on.

Press Space only when the visible lit pattern contains exactly one square. Faster reactions earn more points.

Hard mode increases both dot-change speed and target appearance frequency.

Planned v1 behavior

Sixty dots are arranged as a fixed 10 by 6 grid so the task becomes pure visual scanning rather than motion tracking.

Around half of the 60 dots stay illuminated while each update turns one dot off and one different dot on at the same moment. Most changes are neutral.

Only when the currently lit dots contain exactly one 2 by 2 square should the subject press Space. The logic avoids simultaneous double-square states.

The task focuses on signal detection speed, false positive control, and sustained visual scanning under repeated micro-changes.
